About the Foundation

Since 1972, the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Foundation, Inc. has worked hand-in-hand with the university to provide the resources necessary so that students from South Texas and beyond have opportunities to earn a quality education.

The Foundation exists to support Texas A&M-Kingsville and its mission of teaching, research and service in South Texas for the advancement of knowledge and of regional development. As a source of private funding, the TAMUK Foundation:

 
  • Manages more than $126 million in endowments in support of scholarships, research, programs and faculty,
  • Currently holds almost $144 million in total assets through investments, cash, real-estate and in-kind contributions,
  • Is categorized as a non-profit corporation, receiving charter from the State of Texas,
  • Is classified as a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Services (EIN: 23-7166534),
  • Qualifies for matching gifts from many corporations and
  • Works in conjunction with advancement officials to promote the university and build relationships with those looking to help the university grow.
